The Institute of Trichologists has been in operation since 1902 supporting
patients with hair and scalp disorders and diseases.

GP referrals welcomed, but not essential.

Trichology Clinic

The Institute has opened a clinic for members of the
public suffering from hair loss and scalp disorders.

We also hold a concessionary clinic for patients who
are on low income or benefits.

Both clinics are held on Tuesdays by appointment
from 12
am to 5 pm

The clinic is run by our Senior Consultant Mr Keith Hobbs FIT MRSPH
who has been in Trichology practice for over 20 years and was previously in
practice at The Institute of Trichologists’ Scalp and Hair Hospital in Brixton until its closure in 1996

In certain circumstances if the patient is willing
to attend for training purposes this fee may be waived.

The Patient is under close supervision at all times
by IOT qualified Clinical Tutors.

Alopecia Areata and Post Chemotherapy Support Service

We will soon able to offer a monthly evening support
service for patients suffering from Alopecia Areata

and
post chemotherapy alopecia. This will be mainly in the form of social support
meetings but we will also be able to arrange specialist guest speakers from
time to time for interest. It is planned to occur on the first Tuesday every
month from 5-7pm
